Santa Claus and his helpers have once again arranged to ride around the Town of Dudley for one night and spread some holiday cheer to welcome in the season. Last year during the height of the pandemic, the Annual Tree Lighting event at the Municipal Complex was cancelled. Santa and his helpers took the time to travel throughout Town on a Fire Truck, escorted by the Police. This was well received, and Santa Claus and his helpers have once again arranged to make this trip. This is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 26th stating at 4:00 pm, ending at approximately 7 pm. In the event of inclement weather, a new date will be determined. The proposed route is listed along with this message. Check the list for your area. It is important to note the times of appearance in your area of will vary as each section of the map will take approximately 10 -15 minutes to complete. We thank everyone in advance for their patience and cooperation. To follow Santa's trip in real time on the 26th, residents can download the "Glympse" App on their mobile device. Shortly before the start of the event, the link will appear on various local social media platforms for people to access. More information on this will be provided as soon as possible. The procession is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm near the Connecticut line, off Lower Schofield Avenue, in The Perryville Estates.
