November 1st, 2018
On Thursday, November 1st at approximately 2 am, Dudley Officers James Mastrogiovanni and Arthur Ferreira were dispatched to the area of 31 Oxford Ave. for a report of a hit and run, property damage accident. It was later determined that three parked vehicles on the southbound side, in the vicinity of 25 Oxford Ave, were struck. The suspect vehicle involved was stopped approximately one half mile from the scene, just over the Webster town line, in front of # 49 Pleasant St. Oxford Avenue and Pleasant Street meet directly and are connected by a bridge spanning the French River. Webster units were also dispatched to assist.
A female, later identified as Lauren Soucy, Age 29 from Webster, was discovered walking in the area. She was identified as the vehicle operator. She was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Dudley Police Department for booking and was held on bail to appear this morning for arraignment at Dudley District Court. A total of four vehicles, the three parked cars and the suspect’s, a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, suffered significant damage. Fortunately no injuries were reported.
