Dudley Police Department
Press Release
October 25th, 2018 II
Last night, Dudley Police Officer Keith Remillard conducted a Halloween safety presentation for Daisy Troop 64890 and Cub Scout Pack 274 at St. Anthony's of Padua Church. Officer Remillard went over several important tips for children, such as to never enter a person's house, to stay out of the street, and to inspect all candy before eating it, along with asking trivia questions to the children. After the presentation, the children were given free candy as a Halloween treat, as well as glow sticks to wear as they trick or treated next week. Daisy Troop 64890 also presented Officer Remillard with a poster of thanks to the Dudley Police Department for all that we do, which is proudly hung in our station.
As a general reminder, Trick or Treat in Dudley is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. If you have children who will be participating in the event, talk to them beforehand about Halloween safety. The scariest thing a parent should deal with Halloween night is the influx of monsters, creatures, and ghouls in the neighborhood, not an emergency with their child.
