On Saturday April 28, 2018 at approximately 8:00pm, the Dudley Police and Fire Departments were dispatched by members of the South Worcester County Communications Center, to the area of 187 Oxford Avenue for a report of a two car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers observed two vehicles with extensive damage off the roadway on the front lawn of 187 Oxford Avenue. A utility pole was also reported as damaged. The male operator of a 2005 Ford Taurus, was later identified as Timothy Ouimette, age 21, of Cherry Valley, Mass. The female passenger in his vehicle, was later identified as Melissa Dailing, age 22, of North Brookfield, Mass. Both parties suffered non-life threatening injuries and they were later transported to UMass Hospital in Worcester.
The second vehicle was a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban color gray. The operator, and sole occupant, was later identified as Robert Landry, age 29, of Dudley. He had what appeared to be serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was also later transported by ambulance to UMass Hospital in Worcester. Initial information indicates the 1994 Suburban was traveling south on Oxford Ave. It is believed to have crossed the center line at some point, colliding with the second, northbound, vehicle. Members of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction unit were called in to assist with the investigation. The cause is under investigation at this time and no further information in available at this point, including the current conditions of those injured.
