The Dudley Police Department participated in the 18th Annual Goods for Guns Buyback Program on Saturday, December 14, 2019. This program was sponsored by the UMass Memorial Medical Center’s Injury Prevention Center and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. Several communities in Central Mass participated in this effort to prevent injury or death from unwanted or unsafe guns in local homes. People who anonymously turned in guns were eligible to receive gift cards to Dudley Park N Shop. Five weapons were turned over for destruction. Several Paintball guns were amongst those destroyed.
