Dudley Police Department
Press Release
October 3rd, 2018
The Dudley Police Department joined in on National “Coffee with a Cop” day on Wednesday, October 3rd. This is a national event dedicated to encouraging communication and positive interaction between law enforcement agencies and the public. It began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and is scheduled for the first Wednesday in October of each year. The hope is to further the efforts nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and the law.
The Dudley Police Department held the program on the campus of Nichols College, on the Davis Hall, Nicon Plaza. A steady group of students, staff, residents, and faculty dropped by and engaged in a casual conversation with Dudley Police Chief Steve Wojnar and School Resource Officer Phil Megas on a variety of topics. It was well received, and the hope is to conduct similar events in the future. Special thanks go out to Dudley Dunkin Donuts for their contribution as well as the Academic Affairs staff at Nichols College for their efforts in coordinating this endeavor.
