November 10, 2009 PRESS RELEASE
On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, the Dudley Police received numerous reports of motor vehicle breaks which had occurred throughout various parts of Town. Upwards of 20 vehicles were reported to police as having been gone through during the night. The breaks occurred during the overnight to early morning hours in the areas of Charlton Road, Pierpont Road, Dudley-Oxford Road, Central Ave., Cross Street, Laprise Court, and possibly other locations. Numerous items have been reported as stolen from many of these vehicles. A car was also taken during the evening. A 2009 Toyota RAV Four color Brown with Ma. Registration 532BJ1 was reported as stolen from Central Avenue and is currently being sought. In addition, a 2009 Gray Nissan Mirano was located on Central Avenue. This vehicle had been reported as stolen from the Town of Oxford. The vehicle is currently being returned to the Town of Oxford and it will be processed for evidence purposes. Police officers from Dudley, Charlton, Oxford, and Webster are working together in these investigations. Anyone with information on these breaks is asked to call the Dudley Police at 508-943-4411 or their local police agency. Residents are also being reminded to lock their car doors and to refrain from leaving anything of value inside their vehicles. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
