           On Saturday, March 31, 2007, at approximately 1:15 am, Officer Chandler Boyd of the Dudley Police Department observed a Ford Escort cross the center line on two occasions.  He further observed the vehicle traveling above the speed limit.

 

           A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Dudley Southbridge Rd.  At this point, Officer Boyd approached the operator and asked for his driver's license and vehicle registration.  The male party stated "no" and drove away.

           

           At this point, a vehicle pursuit ensued.  The pursuit began on Dudley Southbridge Rd., and continued onto Rt. 31 Dresser Hill Rd northbound toward Charlton.  Officer Boyd continued to observe several motor vehicle violations such as speeding (up to 70 mph), illegal passing, and marked lanes violations.  The pursuit ended approximately one mile into Charlton on Dresser Hill Rd, just past the Dresser Hill Ice Cream Stand, when the driver decided to stop the vehicle.

 

           The operator was identified as Randal McKissick, age 41, with a last known address of Leicester, MA.  McKissick was taken into custody and was charged with the following:

Improper passing

bullet

Fail to stop for police

bullet

Fail to stop at stop sign

Reckless operation of mv

bullet

Operating with a revoked license

Open container of alcohol

 

            McKissick was held at Dudley Police Headquarters on $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Dudley District Court on April 2, 2007.
