Dudley Police Department Press Release June 7, 2009
On Sunday, June 7, 2009 at approximately 4:40am, the Dudley Police Department received a call from a resident of Wayne Avenue. The person reported some individuals breaking into vehicles. People in the area had confronted these suspects and were holding them for the police. Sergeant Paul Ceppetelli and Officer Marek Karlowicz responded. They arrived a short time later and arrested two individuals on charges of breaking and entering into motor vehicles. One was later identified as Michael Salah age 17 of 113 West Main Street, Dudley. The other party was a 15 year old juvenile male. During transport to the station, Officer Karlowicz noticed a vehicle parked in an unusual manner on June Street. Upon investigation, he noticed a large quantity of electronic equipment, including computers, cell phones, Global Positioning Units, and cameras inside the vehicle. The car was registered to a member of Mr. Salah’s family and the items were subsequently recovered and determined to be stolen. Several items were returned to local residents, however; some of them remain unidentified at this time. The Dudley Police Department would like to thank the residents for their assistance in this case. If anyone has been the victim of a vehicle break and are missing property, you are encouraged to contact the station at 508-943-4411.
