Press Release
On Thursday, July 9, 2009 at approximately 1:55am, Dudley Police Officers, as well as Dudley Fire and Emergency medical personnel, responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pierpont Road and Dudley Oxford Road. A single vehicle, a 1998 Chrysler Sebring, was involved. Initial investigation shows the vehicle traveled south on Pierpont Road, proceeded through the intersection with Dudley Oxford Road, and crashed into a garage and fence at #184 Dudley Oxford Road. There were three female occupants, all between the ages of 18-19, in the vehicle. All three people suffered injuries, and two of them are classified very serious. All three were transported by ambulance to UMass Hospital in Worcester. Speed and other factors are currently under investigation as contributing to this accident. Assistance was provided by the Town of Oxford Fire Department, as well as the Charlton Police. The accident is under investigation by members of the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, and Dudley Police Sergeant Paul Ceppetelli and Officer Anthony Didonato.

Three individuals were involved in this accident. All were transported to UMass hospital in Worcester. They are identified as follows:
Driver of the vehicle: Shawna Larassa age 19 of Dudley, Ma. Shawna passed away at the hospital early this afternoon. Cause of death is not available at this time.
Front Seat Passenger: Lisa Mardirosian age 18 of Webster, Ma. Treated and released earlier today.
Rear Seat Passenger: Charnel Byrnes, age 18 of Webster Ma. Currently still hospitalized. Exact condition unknown but injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Case remains under investigation at this time.
