Dudley Police Department Press Release January 15, 2009
This week, Officer James Annese of The Dudley Police Department, along with members of The Southern Worcester County Drug and Counter Crime Task Force, made two arrests for illegal distribution of drugs in Dudley. On Tuesday, January 13th, Officers arrested Mr. David D Perichino Age 57 of 17 Central Ave. Dudley. The arrest occurred near the intersection of Central Avenue and West Main Street. Mr. Perichino is accused of selling eight packages of crack cocaine to an undercover officer who was conducting plain clothes surveillance in the area. He was arrested and transported to the Dudley Police Department and charged with Possession of a Class B controlled substance (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute and Illegal Possession of Class B Cocaine subsequent offense. He was arraigned at Dudley District Court on Wednesday, January 14th. On Thursday January 15th, as the result of an on going investigation into illegal marijuana distribution, officers executed a drug search warrant at 9 Nelco Ave. in Dudley. Arrested at that time was Mr. Timothy P. Hayes, Age 49 of that address. During the search, officers seized well over one ounce of marijuana and some $540 in cash. Mr. Hayes was charged with Possession of Class D Marijuana with the intent to distribute and Illegal Possession of Class D Marijuana, subsequent offense. After booking, Mr. Hayes was transported to Dudley District Court for arraignment. The Dudley Police Department wishes to thank the officers of the Southern Worcester County Drug and Counter Crime Task Force for their assistance in these investigations, and also the members of the public for their cooperation and assistance in combating illegal drug activity in the community.
