The Dudley Police Department does not initiate email to any private citizen without their prior knowledge. All members of the Dudley Police Department have been instructed not to use email as the first line of communication to any person outside law enforcement... Any email that you may receive without prior notice from anyone within this department is fraudulent.

There are various hackers that have created email viruses that replicate email and attach published email addresses in the "From:" section of the email. Since we publish our email addresses on this web site to provide our citizens with yet another form of communication, it also opens up the possibility for these hackers to abuse these privileges. Should you receive any email addressed as being from DPD personnel that you did not request, immediately delete the message and under no circumstance should you open any attachments.

Absolutely No Solicitation. The Dudley Police Department shall not distribute any email containing any advertising, solicitation for goods, services or funds or solicitation for Users to become members of any enterprise or organization without the expressed prior permission of that person.

Privacy Policy. Any emailed information sent to the Dudley Police Department is voluntarily disclosed. It is entirely possible that this information can be collected by anyone on the internet and may result in unsolicited email from other posters or parties. The DPD reserve the right to monitor any email and to modify and remove any comments that are not the opinion and could be slanderous. The DPD does not actively attempt to collect personal information from email. However, on occasion, voluntary disclosure of information may require DPD to store such information. Any such information will not be shared with any entity outside the DPD, unless such information is utilized in a multi jurisdictional investigative effort.
